I really love this story too and so do all my kids. If you haven't seen it, rent it and check it out ...

I LOVED this movie and actually talked my parents into taking us to Astoria, Oregon when I was 13, just so I could see all the places where the movie was filmed. It actually was where they went to college, too - so it was not all about me. :)
I watched it again yesterday. Man, I love that movie.
