So this journey ...

Easily I could slip into the abyss of being in a foreign country and not speaking the language fluently... However, I will not allow myself to do that.

I see there are several French log-ins on my blog daily and I'm asking you to speak up and tell me just what it is that you all do to get through the dreary days of winter. Seriously, the weather is quite calm, however damp & dreary. I understand this is not the typical climate for this time of the year. I find myself longing for some snowfall.

Tell me, aside from the very long afternoon meals, the free-flowing wine and the unlimited cheeses at fingers' grasp ... what is a mom to do with her day?

Tell me, is it always so germy? My children have certainly had their share of runny noses, high temperatures in the night, and full-out coughing fits since we've arrived.

Is this going to make them stronger?

Tell me, do the moms in the line waiting for the children to come out of school, wish to have a conversation with this American woman as much as she would love to bust into a conversation with them?

Are you shy to use your English language you practiced in school? or are you bothered by the fact that I'm speaking English to my children around you? I wish wish wish I were confident enough to just get into conversation with you. I'm interested in your lives, your culture and your friendship...
