A dear friend of mine sent me this picture after we lost our baby boy... It brought me so much comfort back then and every time I look at it in it's frame these days, I think of precious Baby Avery...
God help baby Avery in her struggle for life. Embrace her and give her the strength to accept the bone marrow transplant she has just received. Give her the chance to play with her older brother and sister and to shower her mommy and daddy with the love and fun that all babies and little children do naturally. Give her parents the chance to raise her and love her and bless her with all she deserves. AMEN
Avery was diagnosed with HLH (Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis). It's a white blood cell disease that could be either viral or genetic. Chemotherapy was given over several months and holds the disease at bay, but there was no guarantee that it would get rid of it forever. A bone marrow transplant is the only cure and Avery received this just a few days ago. Complications arose while she received the transplant and life-saving methods were imposed with success. Now Avery is fighting for her life while we all wait for this transplant to take hold and start working towards a healthier baby girl ... Avery is a mere 7 months old.
God bless the bone marrow donor and we wish him very well. He's most definitely a gift from God at just the right time.
The power of prayer is phenomenal - Please join me, my dear friend E, her family & friends as we all pray that sweet Avery pulls through this and is CURED!

Prayers to Baby Avery and her family. That pictures is captivating.
Oh, how sad. I don't understand God sometimes.
Baby Avery is in my prayers.
And I still love that picture--it's so tender.
It is so sad and seems so unfair, doesn't it?
That picture still warms my heart and touches me as deeply as it did the day you sent it to me, Morgan ...
Thanks so much!
