Remember? We have been moving to France. We left the USA on August 31st and have been trying to settle since. We are still settling - not in our house completely - the house is still undergoing renovations (well it is 100 years old!), but soon, very soon we will be settled.
We have been residing in what the French calls "gite rural", which basically is a vacation home. They are furnished, fully equipped and very comfortable all in all. They are placed in the countryside (the one we are in now is on the mountain) and due to these places being reserved by others, we have done our share of shuffeling around the last 6weeks or so.
Moving with two small children and two cats has been surprisingly easier than one might imagine...
I will begin telling our whereabouts by posting pictures ... Ask away if you have any questions... One thing I've been asked a lot is how we have been received here... You all must know by now that my sweet husband is French, so he is happy to be back in his country. Every single person we have come across in our travels have been very welcoming and very tolerant of my torturing their beautiful language... perhaps some day, now that we are living here, I too will become less of an obvious foreigner and become fluent... (there is hope!)

But thank God you finally got internet access and managed to get out of the neighbor's driveway with your rogue laptop...
no kidding! I tried to post more yesterday (I have a million pictures and stories to tell) but apparently my blogger was having a bad hair day and nothing posted... more to come... I'm glad you enjoy it!
