typical countryside & village ...

village enclosed fort-like
vineyard in the Alsace region ...quite breathtaking. In the background you can see a castle on the mountain.

our two little darlings at the first house we stayed in when we arrived.

These houses are called "Gite Rurals" and are typical vaction homes people rent. We stayed here for three weeks. I would refer to this period of time as what it must feel like to be in a witness protection program.

This picture taken in Paris that first day we arrived. It's quite a sight to see - theEiffel Tower and a mini replica of our Statue of Liberty. ~
Another shot of the Eiffel Tower and it's massiveness in the city. We have taken the older girls to Paris once and unfortunately that day was pouring rain so we really didn't spend a lot of time out and about... plus we weren't in Paris for long - it was our very first trip to France and we were also very over-consumed by our journey there. We did go to the top of the Eiffel Tower and it was amazing! I would like to take the little one's up next ... and the big one's too if they are here at the time.

Enjoy the pictures ... there's lots to more to post and to talk about... comments always welcome

I love the one of the kids! Which house is that?
that house is the first "gite rural" we bunked in... We stayed there for the first three weeks. I'll post a picture of the long driveway - where me and the rogue laptop borrowed us some bootlegged wireless ever so briefly
